TENTH LETTER

The NBP site got hit by the same kind of DDoS attack as Pravda-info a month ago — 2007.02.22

The site of NBP www.nbp-info.ru, a political party, forbidden by Putin’s government ceased to function. According to certain sources this happened due to a massive DDoS attack: a huge amount of “junk” requests gets sent to the server, the server overloads, which leads to the denial of service.
The NBP site “died” on the 21st of February. The Limonov party considers that such massive attack was organized by the Federal Security Service (translator’s note: FSB, the former KGB). The NBP press service told the Kasparov.ru site that on the 21st of February, the amount of machines participating in the attack and united into a botnet network exceeded 120 thousand. The server requests keep coming from all of Russia, the CIS countries as well as Netherlands and South Korea.

The editors of the NBP and DPNI sites: FSB spends up to 70 thousand dollars per day to attack our resources - Moscow, 16th of March (New Region, Arina Morokova, Elizaveta Gromyko, Sofya Korableva) — In the Runet, there is a cleansing of radical political organizations’ websites — for almost a month you cannot see the sites of the Movement Against Illegal Immigration (DPNI) and the National Bolshevik Party (NBP).
According to DPNI’s leader Alexandr Belov, the attack on his Internet resource was ordered by the special services: “There is no point trying to figure out who is doing it, we know it’s the FSB. Sergey Ivanov just had a meeting about struggle against extremism where they discussed hindering the spreading of the so-called extremist information. All unfavorable resources became part of this category. Once in a while, they get destroyed. Our site gets destroyed most often”.
Alexandr Belov says that periodically the site gets restored. “A decision has been made to reorganize our work and make it so that we are as indestructible as the Pentagon… I hope the site will reappear maximum in one week, minimum in a couple of days”, — said the leader of DPNI.
Currently, the dpni.org resource contains the resources of the LJ blogs of the movement’s activists. “However, the regional resources — and we have more than 50 sites, are completely destroyed, absolutely all of them”, — said Alexandr Belov
The editor of the NBP site, Alexey Sochnev makes a connection between the attack on his resource and the “Dissenters March” that is organized in the RF regions by “The Other Russia” coalition. “The attack was organized by the Federal Security Service in order to disorganize the hitting power of the opposition coalition — the National Bolsheviks. According to the specialists, the cost of such large botnet is a lot — minimum 70 thousand dollars a day. Not a lot of people can afford such spending. The Kremlin definitely can. We believe that the attack will not be stopped. However, they are mistaken if they think that it will somehow stop our activities”, — says Alexey Sochnev.
According to him, the DDoS attack is continuing on two NBP sites — nbp-info.ru and nbp-info.com — they are located on different servers. These two addresses have been attacked since 20th of February, right after the NBP meeting in Tula where the National Bolsheviks supported the workers of the Yasnogorsky factory. “More than 200 “zombie” computers, put together in a network send requests to our site, thus overloading the server. The server requests come from the entire Russian territory and the CIS countries. As a result one site turned off and the other one is frozen”, — says the editor of the NBP site.
Experts in the area of hacker attacks say that there are two types of threats to sites. You can simply break into a site and get full access to its maintenance. When this happens, a hacker can do whatever he wants with a site: to copy or delete files, for instance — the site itself continues to function.
The second option is the site becomes neutralized and ceases to appear. As a result, the denial of the site’s service commences, or, as the computer-educated people call it, a DDoS attack. The whole article is right here — http://www.nr2.ru/moskow/109617.html

Ha-ha-ha. 70 grand green. Yeah, right. I spent maximum 170 bucks per day on my resources to put down these freaks.
I didn’t save many of these news. Then I would print them and show them to Dima, sitting on a chair near his hospital bed.
— Why the hell are you doing this? — Dima asked me.
— These bastards will answer for your injuries — I would answer
— But everyone suffers.
Yeah, I don’t care. Let the leaders answer for the freaks they have grown.
I kept hitting the NBP and the DPNI sites for almost half a year, not letting them get up. I did not know which party those radical fuckers who beat up Dima belonged to, all organizations that preach Nazism would suffer.
Then the Kasparov’s site suffered. I didn’t like this freak with American citizenship as soon as I saw him at the Dissenters’ March. That’s why his site got hit too.
By the way, check this out too. I apologize for this before the OSMP momentary payment system but this was necessary:

Having killed the sites, I started to destroy them in LJ. I apologize before the LJ administration, but I could not have done otherwise. I know that you are publishing these confessions in LJ and I hope nobody will delete your blog for this. Here is more news:

06-05-2007 A DDoS attack on the NBP and DPNI communities in LiveJournal — the official reaction of the SixApart company According to the explanations that we received from the Six Apart company this morning, there is a powerful DDoS attack being conducted on the LJ servers in California, starting from Friday, the 1st of June. It is suggested that the source of the attack is in Russia. The servers receive 50,000 requests per second. The main target of the attack are the dpni, rupolitics, and runazbol communities. To defend from the attacks, the LJ administration proceeded to filter the entering packets starting last Friday and limited the server access for large blocks of Russian IP addresses. These measures are forced and temporary. The decisions about a concrete list of stopwords and addresses that are to be blocked are made by the SixApart technical service, based on the incoming request analysis. The impossibility of making LJ posts and comments containing the words rupolitics, dpni, and runbp has to do with the work of these filters.
Problems with delivering comments by e-mail and problems with LJ access as well as the difficulties with publishing some of the users’ posts and comments longer than 194 symbols.
The page http://status.livejournal.org/ shows the current condition of the LJ servers even when these servers are inaccessible.
Currently SixApart has the following text there:
“Comments, e-mail messages and other types of notices will not be sent during next few hours. We hope for your patience and understanding”
We are struggling against the DDoS attacks now. Unfortunately, the measures we took were followed by negative consequences: some users are unable to leave long posts and comments.
We are working on these problems and apologize for the inconvenience.”

This half a year went by unnoticed for me. It was funny to read them blaming everything on the FSB.
Those freaks that beat up Dima really spoiled the nationalists’ reputation in my eyes. I just had to bring them down like that. Fuckers.
